Hi Madalyn, just checked in after quite a while away. So glad to see you are enjoying your goats! Mine sure brighten up my days. You might enjoy going to once a day milking; that's all I've done for four years now, and it works great. After just a couple weeks of age, my babies go into a separate stall at night, and back with their moms for the daytime after I milk. I adjust how long "night" is according to their ages, shorter nights at first, then lengthening as they grow. I don't think I'd mind the actual milking twice a day, but the thought of having all the clean up twice gives me the willies! I have enough dished to wash as it is!
Good to catch up on your news again... Marijane
